Like all consuming hard

You want to be successful? Then you have to have a plan, you have to work that plan, you have to work hard, and you have to work hard. Did I mention that you have to work hard? You have to work hard. Very hard. Like all consuming hard.
If that's not what you want to hear or what you want to do, then buy How To Win Friends and Influence People and read all the happy path stuff. I am fortunate to have become successful. I did it because I learned the rules and worked very hard at those rules. I worked harder at those rules than most around me. My success is 10 to 20 times more than those I was associated with because I did the work and they read about doing the work.
Vaynerchuk shows you what the rules of his game are and what the work is to apply to those rules. This is not for the faint of heart. But then it all comes down to how badly you want something.

Challenging Ideas from an Internet Marketing Pioneer

A highly respected colleague recommended this book to me about two years ago. As happens with many books we “must read,” I got to Crush It very recently. I found the writing style invigorating. Yes, the author does not suffer from an ego deficiency. On the plus side, his energy and commitment enthrall the reader on every page.
Along those lines, he states: “Someone with less passion and poorer content can totally beat you up if they’re willing to work longer and harder than you are. Hustle is it. Without it, you should just pack up your toys and go home.”
Reading this book reinforced my belief that today's business professionals are indescribably fortunate to have the Internet's help in establishing our brands and convincing others to purchase our products and services.

Kind of Dissapointed

I purchased this book because it was on the tony hsieh's recommended list of books [...]. I have to say I found it rather disappointing. I read the first 50 pages, realized it wasn't for me and put it on the shelf. From my perspective, the owner and President of a successful company, I didn't find this book useful. I mean, I'm happy to ready about Gary's success and I found the section about his life entertaining, but I don't believe his story translates into a useful book for somebody like me. I'm frankly disappointed that this book is included in a list of recommended books that include: Good to Great, Tribal Leadership. I guess if one is trying to find a path to success and happiness, this book might help. However, if you are already on that path and are looking for a more advance and deeper understanding of leadership, culture, happiness, business, etc.....reading book is not a good investment of time.
